What is Re-Enactment / Living History?
Reenactment is a form of performance art where individuals or groups
recreate historical events or periods, often focusing on military
conflicts or cultural practices. Reenactors typically wear
period-authentic costumes, use replicated weapons and tools, and
adopt the language and mannerisms of people from the past to
recreate the sights, sounds, and experiences of history.
Living History takes it a step further, not only portraying but also
attempting to live the daily life. Often, this occurs not only at
events but also in private life.

What We Do
For us true fulfillment extends beyond mere exploration of history. It also entails experiencing fun and joy in crafting homemade equipment, engaging in sword and spear combat, throwing spears, or playing replica ancient musical instruments. These activities allow us to immerse ourselves in bygone eras while actively participating, providing a natural and meditative form of recreation.
Currently, we are deeply involved in outfitting Aeternalis and constantly striving to enhance our gear through the use of more authentic materials and manufacturing techniques.
Outside of living history events, we have a passion for delicious food. Aeternalis is often in the kitchen preparing the next culinary delight for us, while VARIANVS delves into various areas, typically planning or researching upcoming Roman projects. Additionally, we independently prioritize our health and foster a happy camaraderie.
